I am a career development educator and consultant. I train and mentor higher education students in identifying and pursuing their chosen careers through making strong plans and decisions and preparing professional applications. I get the greatest satisfaction from developing and delivering high-quality learning experiences, particularly using online, blended, and social learning approaches.
Prior to coming to Melbourne, I lived in Viet Nam for five years, working as a career consultant at RMIT University’s satellite campus. Before I became a career practitioner, I was an Academic English Language educator, a job which developed my teaching and educational design skills immeasurably.
I have recently begun work towards a Doctor of Education degree with the University of Southern Queensland, in which I will focus my research on the teaching and assessment of career education in higher education under the supervision of Dr Peter McIlveen.
I am a professional member of the Career Development Association of Australia and the National Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services.
